Moran Towing and Compania Maritima Pacifico Sign Long Term Marine Services Agreement Moran Towing Corporation and Compañía Marítima del Pacifico S.A. de C.V. are pleased to announce that their Joint Venture Company, Servicios Marítimos de Baja California, S. de R.L de C.V. has signed a long term Marine Services Agreement to provide tugs and other marine vessels to assist LNG vessels calling at the Energía Costa Azul LNG Import Terminal, which is being constructed at a site located approximately fifteen (15) nautical miles WNW of the port of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. The customers in addition to the Terminal Owner, Energía Costa Azul, S. de R.L. de C.V., are Shell Mexico Gas Natural, S. de R.L. de C.V., Sempra LNG Marketing Corp. and the Tangguh LNG Parties. The four 75 ton bollard pull, FiFi 1, escort tugs are to be designed by Robert Allan of Vancouver, Canada and will be built at Union Naval Shipyard of Valencia, Spain . Union Naval Shipyard, one of the worlds leading ship builders, is owned by Grupo Boluda Maritime Corporation of Spain. Services are to commence in 2008. |
