Moran Towing of Pennsylvania operates the largest and most versatile fleet of harbor tugs servicing the major port cities and facilities located on the Delaware River. Our operating service area, the upper eighty miles of the Delaware River, is the destination port for varied cargoes such as plywood, winter fruit, cocoa beans and steel products as well as being the second largest petroleum handling port in the United States. All vessels in our fleet are certified through the American Waterways Operators Responsible Carrier Program and are participants in the United States Coast Guard Uninspected Towing Vessel Program. Towage services outside of traditional ship docking include barge and ship escort, dead ship tows and inland towing. We have been involved in such diversified projects such as the escort and berthing of the battleship New Jersey, the aircraft carrier America and the luxury liner SS United States. |
Other projects include participation in transporting and offloading container cranes and safely berthing the Sovereign Unity, the largest tanker to ever call at the Port of Philadelphia. Moran Towing of Pennsylvania also provides local barge towing services in and around the port.
