Moran Towing of Texas serves the ports of Port Arthur, Beaumont, Orange and Sabine Pass. We currently operate in the harbor and offshore trade. The harbor is served by twin screw tugs ranging from 3,200 BHP to 4,800 BHP to serve any size vessel that may enter our area. The local harbor consists of seven major petroleum producers, three public wharves, a major grain elevator, five private bulk terminals, five various sized shipyards and the Beaumont National Defense Reserve Fleet. We have assisted everything from large crude carriers, a disabled aircraft carrier, semi-submersible drill rigs, dry-dock sections, down through product carriers to small mini vessels and mine counter measure vessels of the US Navy. |
Along with the above operations, we offer the coordination and assistance of dead ships into or out of the Maritime Administration Reserve Fleet and various shipyards in both local and other ports. All of our tugs are ABS classed, radar equipped, and have up-to-date electronics. Moran Towing of Texas is a member of American Waterways Operators, and is part of the Responsible Carrier Program.
