The "M" Award

Moran’s Safety Management System mandates and enforces numerous measures for safety monitoring, accident prevention and continuous improvement, which are applied at each of our divisions and ports of operation. These include:


• Regular monthly internal safety audits, including on-site assessments and reviews by Moran’s corporate management, of equipment, maintenance and nautical logs, operations records, and personnel records.
• Regular monthly Safety Meetings at which all crews identify and discuss issues and concerns and communicate them to management.
• Spot drills for all crews, twice a month.
• Reviews and inspections of equipment and facilities, several times per month or on the spot as needed.
• Emergency simulations and other exercises.
