As activity in the Port of Brunswick continues to grow, so does the need for reliable, high-performance ship assist services. Our recent assignment of two advanced ASD (azimuth stern drive) tractor tugs, each delivering over 5,100 horsepower and more than 60 tons of bollard pull, reinforces our commitment to providing the highest standard of operations and safety to our customers and port partners.
The Shiney V. Moran adds valuable escort capability and extra horsepower to support larger vessels transiting the harbor, while the Diane Moran enhances port safety with dual 1,500 GPM fire monitors. Together, these tugs strengthen our ability to meet the evolving needs of the port with power, precision, and performance.
“The arrival of these tugs marks a strategic step forward in our support of Brunswick’s continued growth. Their enhanced horsepower, firefighting capabilities, and escort functionalities will help us meet the needs of our growing port. These assets will directly contribute to safer, more efficient operations for the port and our partners”, added General Manager, Joe Myatt.
Our longstanding partnerships within the port, including collaboration with our customers, Brunswick Pilots, and GPA, are central to our mission. We understand that each successful operation is built on seamless coordination and trust. By continuing to invest in advanced equipment and dedicated crews, we’re proud to support the port’s continued growth and success.
