Moran announces the acquisition of Coleman Supply Company based out of Charleston, SC. Coleman is an operation specializing in ship chandlery sales, engineering spares logistics, and launch services. This acquisition will expand our O.E. DuRANT Wilmington, NC, marine line handling and chandlery footprint and provide further growth opportunities to access the Savannah, GA, and Jacksonville, FL, markets and beyond.
Coleman was a privately owned marine services company that had been in business for 135 years. Their areas of services include ship chandlery sales, deck, and engine sales, spares warehousing, logistics, and launch services. The Coleman team will become part of O.E. DuRANT (OED) under the leadership of Nolan Ferrer, Director of Maritime Support Services, and will be an integral part of the Response Services group and will work closely with our MER Marine Services Southeast environmental team to create a cohesive and comprehensive offering to marine clients along the east coast. “As we look to grow this business geographically and in the Southeast region, Coleman is an excellent fit for us,” said Ted Tregurtha, President and CEO, Moran Towing Corporation.
