Moran is honored to receive a Coast Guard Public Service Commendation, presented by Rear Adm. Douglas Schofield, commander of the Coast Guard Seventh District, and joined by U.S. Representative Buddy Carter, Georgia's 1st District acknowledging the commendable actions of its mariners in the M/V Golden Ray capsizing and response. During a ceremony on Monday at the College of Coastal Georgia, Rear Adm. Schofield, and Representative Carter, recognized individuals from several maritime partners for their acts of bravery and selflessness during the Golden Ray rescue operation on September 8, 2019.
In addition to the Coast Guard commendation, Moran personnel have also been honored with the American Waterway Operators HERO Award, this dual recognition underscores Moran's commitment to excellence and safety in maritime operations.
